Voluntary actions for thriving rural areas: make an impact!

Actions for the rural vision are initiatives that any individual or organisation belonging to the Rural Pact Community can take to contribute to thriving rural areas. They are submitted through the Rural Pact and showcased via its online platform.
Anyone and everyone – citizens, businesses, civil society organisations, academics, and public authorities – can develop and submit an action. This could be an initiative that has already been completed or is planned or ongoing.
Actions for the rural vision, no matter how big or small, can benefit you and rural communities all over Europe. Submitting and showcasing one on the Rural Pact platform will give your initiative visibility and recognition, demonstrate leadership, inspire others, and contribute to policy debates by keeping rural areas relevant. Actions are voluntary, there is no obligation nor financial compensation.
Actions may take many forms: from strategies and advocacy, to events, to local projects - every action counts!
To propose and submit an action, all you need to do is become a Rural Pact Community platform member, fill in the online form, and press ‘submit’. We will review your action – and get back to you if we have any questions - then, we will publish it on the platform. A visual step-by-step guide will lead you through the process.
